About Us

Challenge South West was started by a group of off-roaders who wanted to move on from trialling, and who felt that there was no opportunity available to test their off-roading skills to the limit.  The concept of taking vehicles to unusual places in different ways was born, and in 2003 Challenge South West was formed. We can justifiably claim to be one of the first organisations in this field, and we are still at the forefront of challenge off road.

The Club is primarily for off-road enthusiasts who are interested in off road events which test their vehicles and ourselves, but without destroying the environment or the vehicles.  The tasks set are many and varied, some beyond even the most accomplished team but there's always something for everybody.

We have events nearly every month, from full on challenges with competitors coming from all over the country to a Christmas treasure hunt for all the family.  We would welcome you whether you wish to compete or marshal.

All vehicles used on our events must be four wheel drive but you don't have to own a vehicle to join!  Winches and other off road paraphanalia are not compulsory but in most events you will find you will be stopped by the terrain quite early on without at least a winch.
