This years 2 Day event is being held at Wellington (Saturday) and Huntsham (Sunday) on 10th and 11th May 2008.
This event has again been kindly sponsored by Devon 4x4.
You can download the supplementary information here or you can read the same below.
The Event will be set out for:
Modified, Standard, & Novice Vehicles.
Trophies
Trophies will be awarded for Modified & Standard classes & Highest placed Novice plus an award for Team Spirit (voted for by all entrants & marshals).
This event will wherever possible be laid out to be tough and challenging on the competitor but without intentionally being damaging to bodywork. Ultimately the decision on when to stop lies with the driver.
Event Rules
The following rules are in addition to CSW standard rules (see link)
http://www.challenge-south-est.co.uk/rules_regs/rules.html
If you are new to CSW or haven't looked before then please take a moment to read all the rules & regs.
All vehicles will be scrutineered to the CSW Regs standard at signing on Saturday am.
SUPPEMENTARY Event Rules
The event will follow the format from some of the early challenge competitions where by vehicle teams will be encouraged via the scoring system to be totally self sufficient in everything they require for the whole weekend with the exception of fuel.
This will mean carrying everything you require on or in your vehicle (including spares, tools, camping kit, etc). Camping will be encouraged for the Saturday night as part of the 2 day competition via the scoring system, but will not be compulsory.
If you break something and are not carrying the spares with you, penalty points will be awarded for returning to base camp or seeking outside repair! This includes punctures and spare wheels.
All Modified vehicles MUST carry a ground anchor.
For those entrants who wish to transport their vehicle by trailer/lorry, in the interest of the environment you will be allowed to transport your vehicle between the two site locations at the end of play at site one.
There will be a Burger van on site at the campsite for Saturday night and Sunday morning which competitors may use. (All marshals will be entitled to a free meal voucher Saturday night)
Team Stages
There will be some team stages. You will be notified of the selection process for teams on the day and points will be awarded to the whole team and not individual vehicles.
Highways
Directions/maps will be provided to get you from site 1 to the campsite at site 2.
There will be some road work on Saturday pm and Sunday, competitors are reminded that it is their responsibility to make sure that their vehicles comply with all highway regulations and check their lights & number plates etc before driving on the highway.
No Alcohol is to be consumed by any team members prior to the night stage on Saturday pm.
Start & Finish Times
Except Saturday am, all start and finish times for the rest of the event will be notified at driver briefings.
